Day 1 – Glasgow Highlights & Kelvingrove Treasures

Your Scottish journey begins at 2:00 PM with a guided panoramic drive through Glasgow—Scotland’s largest city, rich in Victorian grandeur and modern artistic flair. Dive into Scottish heritage at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum before sharing a welcome drink with fellow travelers. The evening is yours to explore the vibrant streets and local fare.

Start the day with a peaceful cruise on the legendary Loch Lomond, surrounded by rugged Highland peaks. Stroll the charming streets of Inveraray before visiting its stately castle, a familiar sight from Downton Abbey. Journey through the haunting beauty of Glencoe en route to your hotel near Loch Leven.

Rest for the night in Aberdeen.

Travel the storied “Road to the Isles” with a photo stop at Glenfinnan Monument. Cross by ferry to the mystical Isle of Skye and visit the romantic ruins of Armadale Castle. Later, follow the shores of Loch Ness—keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Nessie—before arriving at your elegant Nairn hotel near the North Sea.

Stand on the solemn grounds of Culloden Battlefield, where Scotland’s fate was sealed. After touring the visitor centre, visit a working sheep farm to witness the incredible skill of sheepdogs in action. Tonight, unwind in your manor-style retreat near Pitlochry.

Ferry from Scrabster to Orkney: 1.5 hours

Step into history at Blair Castle, a noble estate tied to Mary, Queen of Scots and Queen Victoria. Then, discover the art of whisky-making with a behind-the-scenes tour and tasting at Blair Athol Distillery. Enjoy leisure time exploring Pitlochry or relaxing at your hotel.

Explore Scotland’s majestic capital with a scenic city tour. Walk the cobbled Royal Mile and admire the Georgian elegance of the “New Town.” Then visit Edinburgh Castle, perched high above the city. Spend the afternoon discovering Edinburgh at your own pace. Guests on July 27 – August 17 departures will attend the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway: 2.5 hours

Say farewell to Scotland and ferry to Belfast to explore the story of the Titanic at its award-winning museum. Then continue to Dublin, where your evening is free to enjoy local pubs or a walk along the River Liffey.

Spend your morning exploring Dublin aboard a Hop-On, Hop-Off bus with admission to one of five top attractions including the Guinness Storehouse or EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum. At 2:00 PM, meet your Irish tour director and group for a city tour including Dublin Castle. The evening ends with lively Irish music, dance, and food at Merry Ploughboy Pub.

Ferry from Tarbert to Uig: 1 hour and 40 min

On your way to Blarney Castle, stop for photos at the iconic Rock of Cashel. At the castle, you may dare to kiss the Blarney Stone for the gift of eloquence. Continue through the scenic village of Macroom and into the heart of County Kerry, arriving in charming Killarney for a relaxing evening.

Rest for the night on Isle of Skye.

Journey along the famed Ring of Kerry, where cliffs and coastal views create postcard-perfect scenes. Visit Moriarty’s in the Gap of Dunloe, cross to Valentia Island, and learn about the nearby Skellig Islands. Watch skilled sheepdogs in action before enjoying a free evening in Killarney.

Ferry across the River Shannon to stand atop the mighty Cliffs of Moher, towering above the Atlantic. Unwind at your hotel before stepping back in time at a medieval banquet, complete with candlelit storytelling, harp music, and hearty Irish fare.
